Izmit Tolerance Monument

 

"Izmit Tolerance Monument" opened on July 22, 2011 in cooperation with Izmit Municipality and Art Nicomedia Culture and Art Association for the memory of 1.700th anniversary of world's first tolerance edict which was published in Nicomedia on 30th of April 311 by Roman emporer Galerius.

Nicomedia edicts of tolerance are one of the important turning points in mankind history.
