Sirri Pasa Mansion

 

Sirri Pasa Mansion, an example of civilian architecture belonging to the 19th century, was built in Izmit Haci Hasan Neighborhood Yeni Cesme Street by order of Izmit Sanjak Governor  Sirri Pasa. Inner walls of the doublestoried wooden mansion, attracting attention with its view overlooking izmit Bay, are decorated with antique sculptures and architectural pieces. Outhouse of the mansion was bonded with bricks brought specially from France. Some of the stones used in the high garden walls belong to remains of antique structures.

 

It is related that indoor wall ornaments of Sirri Pasa Mansion were decorated by painters who came for the restoration of Dolmabahce Palace.
